PAOLO E NOEMIA D'AMICOAn hour's distance from Rome and Florence. The Tuscia region, as cradle. The breathtaking scenario of the Calanchi valley. At this mineral and calcareous soil, grapes have been cultivated by the ancient Etruscan. In this enchanted place, just in front of Civita di Bagnoregio, UNESCO Heritage, and 20 minutes' drive away from Orvieto and its marvelous Cathedral, Paolo and Noemia d'Amico, both in love from the beginning with wine-making, have decided to materialize their dream. They transferred their life philosophy into the wine production, confident, from the start, that the characteristic of this Terroir, so special and unique, would have given to their wines a special imprint. Of the 31 hectares of vineyards property of the winery, all Organic, the first five ones have been planted, in 1985, at Chardonnay.Later on came the Trebbiano and Grechetto, principal grapes of our Orvieto "Noe", very refreshing and that we call the "happiness wine", specially desired by Noemia d'Amico to be tasted in the hot summer of Rio de Janeiro, were she comes from.Today we also produce this very elegant Merlot with a touch of Syrah, our "Villa Tirrena", which takes the name of the Estate, a round and smooth red wine, ready to drink or to be kept over the years. You can distinguish the quality of a winery from their entry line level, for us the Seiano White and Red, with a very good price-relation quality.Currently our production line showcase nine different wines and all of them already received several awards, as, among others, from the prestigious sector publications Wine Spectator, Decanter and James Suckling. Our aim is to pursue excellence in all the wines we produce. Three words to define us: Wine, Art and Culture.
